Demonstration of solar cooking appliances at the Language High School in the town of Blagoevgrad, June 15th 2017

The owner of HoSa Solar Ltd. Holger Sauer goes on with his educational tour around Blagoevgrad schools, this time with an open lesson in the yard of the Language High School "Academician Lyudmil Stoyanov". On June 15, 2017, students of LHS got acquainted with two of Mr Sauer's appliances for cooking food with solar energy – a solar parabolic cooker and a solar oven. As could be expected, students and teachers communicated with Mr. Sauer in German and English.

In the days around the summer solstice - June 21, we have the strongest sun for the year, so the water in the pot on the parabolic boiled up very fast. The solar oven reached a record temperature of more than 150 °C in the cooking chamber.
